James C. Hodgson
Alumni Association President Class of 1965

James (Jim) Hodgson grew up in a family of entrepreneurs that date back to WWII. He attended the University of Alabama and earned his Bachelor's of Business Administration with a Marketing and Accounting Concentration in 1969. He also earned his CPA credential in 1973 and his CMA credential in 2016.

For 13 years, he was a partner at the Moody & Hodgson accounting firm, and since 2006 he has presided over Transcendence, Inc. - an IT firm - both in Montgomery.

Jim has two children - Robbie and Jim. Regarding his vision for the Alumni Association's work to support our dear alma mater, Jim emphasizes:

"I believe in Lanier, and I believe we are on the cusp of great things. Let's get organized and down to business!"

Dr. Antonio Williams
Principal / Ex-Officio Officer Class of 2000

Dr. Antonio T. Williams currently serves as the principal of Sidney Lanier High School, Montgomery, Alabama. He returned to his Alma Mater for the third time in the summer of 2014. He also served as a teacher at Lanier for three years. He has implemented several programs and processes to help “Reclaim the Castle.”

Dr. Williams received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Montevallo in History and Secondary Education. He later went on to complete his Masters of Education in Administration and Educational Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Law from Alabama State University.

“I truly love being able to make a difference in the lives of young people. The students that I serve every single day make it all worth it. I have students that come from some really dark places and situations, but despite their living conditions, they still come to school everyday willing and ready to learn. It makes me really proud when I am able to contribute to their success.”

Marlon McMillian
Alumni Association Vice-President Class of 1995

Marlon McMillian is a member of the Class of 1995. Mr. McMillian is employed with the State Of Alabama as an Environmental Scientist and has worked for the Alabama Department of Environmental Management for 14 years.

Mr. McMillian received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in Normal, AL (Huntsville). Marlon has been married for 10 years and has one lovely daughter from this union.

As a student Mr. McMillian was a member of the “Mighty Marching Poet Band, the Symphonic Band, and the percussion ensemble. Mr. McMillian served as the marching band percussion instructor for over ten years before leaving that post in 2016.

Marlon believes that as alumnus of this wonderful school “we should not only give back, but come back” to our ‘Dear Lanier’. Our presence as well as our support is going to be paramount to the continued success of this great edifice to education.


Keesha Hawkins Jones
Alumni Association Treasurer Class of 1995

Keesha Hawkins Jones hails from and currently resides in Montgomery, Alabama. She is a small business consultant; is married to her Lanier sweetheart of 24 years; and is the mother of five phenomenal children, who have been educated in public, private, and homeschool environments.

Keesha is a 1995 graduate of the Lanier Academic Motivational Program (the original LAMP) and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an Accounting Emphasis from Faulkner University in 2000. She has been an active Lanier Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) Board Member since 2013 – serving as Secretary and Member-at-Large, and holds positions as Alumni Board Treasurer and Chairperson of the Alumni Board Academic Committee.

Keesha often reflects on Proverbs 11:25, and has adopted Matthew Henry’s paraphrase as her driving force for helping others:

…he [that waters] shall be recruited as the clouds are which return after the rain, and shall be further useful and acceptable [for God’s service], as the rain to the new-mown grass.


Jonathan Davis
Alumni Association Secretary Class of 2006

Jonathan Davis is a native of Montgomery Alabama and is one of two sons to Johnny and Bobby Davis. Jonathan graduated from Sidney Lanier High School and is a proud member of the Class of 2006. While a student at Lanier, Jonathan was active in various organizations and extracurricular programs. Jonathan served as the Battalion Commander for the JROTC program leading a cadet corps of approximately 300 and was also a member of the Student Counsel serving as Class of 2006 Chaplain.

After graduating from Sidney Lanier High School, Jonathan became an active leader at Troy University in Troy Alabama. While matriculating through his undergraduate studies majoring in Criminal Justice, Jonathan was also active in student leadership. Jonathan served as Freshman Forum President during his first year.

During his Junior year, Jonathan was elected to the Student Senate as Senator for the College of Arts and Sciences. Subsequent to serving as a senator, Jonathan was also appointed as Executive Assistant to the SGA President. At the beginning of his Sophomore year, Jonathan was elected by his peers to serve as the Vice President of Legislative Affairs which also served as the President of the Senate. At the height of Jonathan’s graduate studies as a senior, he was elected as the Student Body President and President of the SGA.

After obtaining his bachelor of science in Criminal Justice and minor in Print Journalism, Jonathan began working for the District Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit. In 2013, Jonathan was hired and appointed to serve as Magistrate. Since serving as a magistrate for the City of Montgomery and Montgomery County, Jonathan has sought ways in which he can give back to his beloved community.

Jonathan joined the SLHSAA's Board of Directors in 2017. In this capacity, Jonathan leads the Athletic Committee in promoting and supporting an exceptional athletic program and department.

The Athletic Committee’s goal is to produce all around exceptionally talented students.
